RHINOPLASTY... Get It Done Right
Thinking about reshaping your nose? Here are some facts on rhinoplasty to consider before you decide on who should do your surgery.
Rhinoplasty is considered one of the most, if not the most challenging plastic surgery procedure there is. Each person's nose is different and so is their anatomy. Add to this complexity the function of the nose, its breathing component should never be sacrificed for its aesthetic one. The right balance must be created between aesthetics and function without sacrificing each other. If the surgery is not done properly, you might have a nose that looks good for six months to a year. Then you will develop obstructive breathing and a nose that does not resemble what you had in the first few months after surgery.
In the right hands this surgery will give you the results that you want. But, if your plastic surgeon does not specialize in rhinoplasty, and not all do, your chances of achieving a great result are lower. Not every plastic surgeon performs this operation in the same way. Two different surgeons performing a rhinoplasty will get two very different results.
So if you are thinking about having a rhinoplasty, and want to maximize your chances of a good result, do your homework-look for a specialist. Do not decide who will do your surgery on price alone, and do not assume that someone that is great at doing plastic surgery in the whole body surgery, is also great at nose surgery. When it comes to your nose, look for a Facial Plastic Surgeon.

Is there a minimum age that one has to consider before having cosmetic nose surgery. Does a 13 /14 year old need to wait for the shape to complete or can it be done at that age? Thanks
